Make sure when selecting your size that you are familiar with our body measurement guide as every brand is different. Our garments are designed to be a little oversized to allow for movement however it is important that you check your measurements to ensure the right fit.

Size guide

This first stage builds the foundations for a quality garment. The fabric is send out to a specialist supplier who will pre shrunk the material using steam before block fusing it with stabilising fabric. These suppliers use a specific heat roller machine and have perfected their methods over many years ensuring that thy use the maximum width of fabric possible and reducing wastage. All fabric is assessed to determine the weight of fusing used as it needs to help the fabric hold its structure but not control it so much that it loses all drape.

Each pattern piece is placed on the cloth by hand to minimise fabric wastage as well as check the fabric for irregularities, adding another stage of quality control. Unlike bulk cutting we use manual rotary blades to ensure precision. Every millimetre counts and if just one piece is cut off grain it will effect the drape of the entire garment.

Preparing the pieces for sewing. Every element that goes into a tailored garment has been well considered so that it is fit for purpose. At this stage of construction we “piece fuse” parts of the cut elements where they need to be strengthened for durability. All of the prepped fabric pieces are then bundled together and matched with threads, trims and buttons ready for sewing.

Our tailors then begin sewing the garments, starting with the smaller elements. It is crucial that the garments are pressed during their construction to ensure accuracy.

Quality control - Once the tailor has finished sewing we manually measure the garments against very strict specifications before proceeding to the final press. This allows us to address and amend anything that isn’t up to our standards.

Adornments - The keyhole button hole is stitched into place followed by the buttons which are sewn by hand.

Your garment is now wrapped in custom Simmons packaging and ready for delivery no more that 17 business days after your order was confirmed.
